Kriss--

I was not able to duplicate your problem here on the ROOMS file.
Here are a couple of things I would try...

-- using @RECORD on a different file (in case there is something
odd about the dictionary of ROOMS)
-- try omitting the DEFAULT NUM.VALUES ALL phrase (again checking
for dictionary problems)
-- changing the output file name and/or destination (in case there
are security issues, filenaming problems, etc.)
-- sending output to the screen (omit the FILE clause)

Let me know what you find out.

Dear Download List subscribers...

I sent the below to the INFO-DATATEL list, but no one has responded
yet.
I thought I would cross post this to this list since it is geared more
specifically to the DOWNLOAD software.

Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I have downloaded and installed in our TEST account version 7.0.2 of
Cedarville Download. I am now trying the new feature @RECORD to get
all
the fields downloaded from the file. Below is the paragraph I am
running...

001: PA

002: SELECT ROOMS SAMPLE 10

003: SAVE.LIST XKPD.ROOMS.LIST

004: GET.LIST XKPD.ROOMS.LIST

005: DOWNLOAD ROOMS @RECORD DEFAULT NUM.VALUES ALL \

006: FILE _HOLD_ XKPD.ROOMS.DOWNLOAD OVERWRITING

007: DELETE.LIST XKPD.ROOMS.LIST

As far as I can tell, I have duplicated the information on page 24 of
the 7.0 manual on line 5 above to get all fields and values
downloaded.

But all I get are what appears to be @ID's in the output. I wanted to
try this with a subset of records since we have 12,000+ records in our
rooms files. So I am using save lists in front of the DOWNLOAD
command
to limit the number of records processed.

Contents of file XKPD.ROOMS.DOWNLOAD after processing is done.
"569*0133" "033*0529A" "3471*0126" "015*0123" "347*0315" "010*0106"
"3475*0133B" "033*0411J" "030*0174" "022*0140D"

I don't get any error messages when I run the command.

Output ---------------------------------------------
10 records selected to list 0.

10 key(s) saved to 1 record(s).

10 records retrieved to list 0.

DOWNLOAD version 7.02

Creating temporary list DLDATATEL34763

10 key(s) saved to 1 record(s).

10 records retrieved to list 1.

Using input file ROOMS

Output to file _HOLD_ XKPD.ROOMS.DOWNLOAD

*

10 records processed.

Deleting temporary list DLDATATEL34763

'DLDATATEL34763' deleted.

'XKPD.ROOMS.LIST' deleted.

-----------------------------

I figure I am missing something basic here, but I just don't see it.
Maybe there are too many associations and multi-value fields in this
file to process correctly...

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Kriss
