I would try 'CONV' instead of 'CNV'.  That version of DOWNLOAD may not
have these two defined as synonyms.

      I am currently using download 5.10 and would like to download the
current date.
      I would like the date to be MM/DD/YY format.

      I am using: DOWNLOAD PERSON FORMAT FIXED @ID FMT '25L'
                        @DATE FMT '8L' CNV 'D2/'  FILE _HOLD_  XXX.TXT

      I receive an error for the CNV 'D2/'--(not expecting CNV).  Any
suggestions?      Thanks.           MJ
