Mary:
You could put a 'sleep' before your ftp command and after your download command. That is how I handle this type of problem in other situations.

HTH and have a GREAT day!

Subject: [Download-List] File Completion

Hi,

We have run into a unique problem with ftps from datatel to remote machines.  We run solaris ftp scripts in a chron job to move files created by download 7.2 from our datatel sever to our windows server.  A glitch we have experienced is if the ftp chron job runs while the file is still in the process of creation (download is still writing records), the ftp process transfers a partial file.  Is there any option or mechanism in Download 7.2 that would hold records in a buffer and write them out all at once so that there isn't a delay time of minutes between initializing the file and completion of the file?  Thank you in advance for your attention.
