Thanks, Sally. Does this mean that only the IT department may do downloads?

Hi,
In our shop, we have set up IT/Departmental shared folders on a server. When I'm need to share a document, I go to My Computer and slide the document to the appropriate IT/Departmental folder. Then I email the client and notify them that the file they have requested is in their Departmental folder on the assigned server.
We feel that this process is considerably more secure than emailing the files to the clients.
Sally

My institution does many downloads for various reasons. Are there any users who encrypt their downloads or who have other means of securing their data?
