Hi Dave,
DOWNLOAD has always been a fantastic product. It has saved us countless hours in programming. It would be a great help to have it when we are forced to migrate to SQL.
Thanks for all your work on this product as well as the many other ones we use.
John

Subject: [Download-List] Datatel clients using Cedarville Download
I have started some discussions with Datatel regarding running Download when the backend database is SQL Server. This is theoretically possible (with some reduced functionality) since all database access is done via MIO subroutine calls. The general concept is to allow Datatel clients to continue using Download while they transition to other reporting environments...perhaps removing one of the barriers to moving to SQL Server.
I am trying to determine how beneficial this would be for Datatel clients. If this would help your institution with its conversion to the SQL Server environment, please respond to this note. I welcome any comments or suggestions in this regard.
Thanks!
