[Download-List] Split lists across columns?

By any chance is there a way to split a download list across multiple
columns in HTML format? For instance, if I have a list of 300 names I
would like them split evenly across three columns, 100 per column. The
catch is I need it to do this with dynamic lists where I may not have
the list count ahead of time.
