[Download-List] RE: DOWNLOAD the DICT

This does not work for us on 6.0  I've been working on it for about a week now.  Not sure what I am missing but it looks like I need to populate a _XML_ file/directory.

The Unidata LIST command (at least in 6.0) has a paramater called TOXML.

So you can run the command like:

LIST DICT GL.ACCTS TO /home/kpdavis/gldict.xml TOXML


FTP the XML file (ASCII trans)  to your PC and then bring it into EXCEL.
It comes into EXCEL very nicely formatted.
