[Download-List] Download and R18

Mary Jo:

I just tried it in our LIVE account with the SAME results you had; we
are unidata combined.  Went to the TEST account with the same results.
We are using Download v.7.01.

I was able to get it to work, AFTER I went to the colon prompt and
compiled the dictionary element (CD STUDENT.TERMS STTR.BIRTH.DATE).  It
does work after that; which we have had to do in the past but I am not
sure why it would not be compiled already. 

HTH.  Might be able to do that in a pinch, not sure if that is the
'right' answer.  As far as I know, when you compile at the colon prompt
you are ONLY affecting the specific dictionary element and there are no
other negative impacts on anything else.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, please!

      I am testing my download queries in a R18 test account.
      I attempt to use STTR.BIRTH.DATE from STUDENT.TERMS with the
following results:

            FILE _HOLD_ DEMO.TXT OVERWRITING
      DOWNLOAD version 5.10

Can't
itype a
            uncompiled field

      This continues for each record and then will NOT download the
STTR.BIRTH.DATE.

      The download will work from PERSON using BIRTH.DATE.

      Any and all help is appreciated as this is a common field that we
will need to download.
