[Download-List] general download availability question

Revisiting this since I didn't see any further info in the archives.
We've got several VOCs using DOWNLOAD. Many will likely be unnecessary
with Reporting & Analytics, and I know there are various methods to
extract data in SQL, but like Keith I'd love it if DOWNLOAD could "come
along" for our ride to SQL over the course of the next year. DOWNLOAD has
been a "good friend" I'd like to be able to take along without the need to
convert all the existing VOCs! Any chance of that? If I missed this
discussion elsewhere I apologize, but found nothing in my searching.

:-)

Keith,

How is informer working in your MS SQL 2008 environment. Is it as
functional as it was with Unidata?

Thanks
Flo Johnson

Subject: [Download-List] general download availability question

Does anyone know if Download can work in a MS SQL 2008 environment?
I have a tool "Informer" by Entrinsik, that my end users can use to
create/schedule their own reports as needed. However it does not
currently have a fixed file output option.

We no longer let end users operate at the db prompt and thus download is
not really available to my end users (at least in the create/modify
respect). I do not think Entrinsik is working on building a fixed file
output option. Thus the question. TIA. -KJ
