[Download-List] 'computed columns'

Good Morning,

We heard the term 'computed columns' yesterday for the 1st time. The 
 reference was from a DataTel employee in a discussion R18 and the 
 context was regarding I-Descriptors. That is the extent of our 
 knowledge. If anyone could share a brief desciption, an example of, & 
 how to tell if an I-Descriptor should be a computed column and how to
change it to one,
 we would be most appreciative.

Also, can changes to I-DESC (if any required) be made before going
to R18?
